Mega Millions findings

Mega Millions has been drawn as 5 numbers from 70 plus a Mega Ball from 24 since April 2025. Everything on this page counts only the 158 draws since that change.

Every finding 8 on record

How low and how high has the sum of a draw gone?

Add up the numbers in a draw and the total has a settled middle and two long tails. Here are the record floor and ceiling, the whole spread against what chance predicts, the recent trend, and where the latest draw sits.

How often do three numbers land in the same block of ten?

Split the pool into blocks of ten and count how many of a draw's numbers share one. Here is the whole distribution of the biggest cluster, the total drawn from each block, and the recent trend, next to what chance predicts.

How big are the gaps between numbers in one draw?

Sort a draw and measure the distance between each pair of neighbours. Here is the whole distribution of those gaps, and the widest and narrowest of each draw, next to what chance predicts.

Does the draw day change what comes out?

Some lotteries draw on more than one night a week. Here is what each night has actually produced, next to what chance predicts once the uneven schedule is taken into account.

How far is each number from the last draw?

Every drawn number sits some distance from the nearest number in the draw before it. Here is the whole distribution of that distance, next to what chance predicts.

How many numbers in a draw end in the same digit?

7, 17, 27 and 37 all end in 7. How often do three or four numbers sharing a last digit land in the same draw, and does any last digit turn up more than its share? Counted across every draw, next to what chance predicts.

Do shifted numbers from the last draw come back?

Add the same amount to every number in the last draw and see how many land in the next one. Every shift, measured across the whole record, against what chance predicts.

How often do consecutive numbers turn up together?

Two numbers side by side, like 17 and 18, in the same draw. How many draws have one, how many have three in a row, and which neighbouring pair has come up most, set beside what chance predicts.

What these are

Each finding takes one question — the kind of thing you wonder about while looking at a ticket — and answers it against every Mega Millions draw on record. The count is always shown next to what chance predicts, because a figure on its own tells you nothing: 204 appearances is high or low only once you know that Mega Millions predicts about 179.

Nothing here improves anyone's odds, and none of it is a prediction. Every number in every draw has the same chance every time. What these pages offer is the record itself, measured properly, so you can see what actually happened and decide what you make of it.
